Wrike + Team

In 2022, I established a new department at Art Brand Studios, implementing a request system to efficiently funnel work and prioritize tasks for my team. I mastered Wrike, utilizing automation, workflows, blueprints, and time management features to create a transparent "workload" view of all projects. To better estimate project timelines, I developed a system for estimating time requirements, enabling clear communication with colleagues requesting work. I created standard operating procedures for both my designers and our internal clients, resulting in significant improvements within a month. As our department evolved, I continually updated workflows and request forms to meet changing needs. Under my leadership, my team became the most efficient, agile, and innovative group, earning recognition as the gold standard in creative project management. As the Wrike admin, I tailored accounts for each team member and mentored colleagues in managing their teams, often addressing conflicts and challenges in bi-weekly meetings and one-on-ones. Despite their contracted status, I have fully integrated my team, fostering a cohesive and high-performing creative environment.

My Approach to Design and Team Dynamics

I believe that the best design is inherently simple and easy to understand, yet I have a soft spot for clever easter eggs that surprise and delight. In my view, great design must prioritize user-friendliness and functionality—if my audience doesn't grasp the design, then it's simply not effective. My approach to growth is rooted in the belief that continuous learning and skill development mean you’re never failing; you’re always progressing toward your goals.

As a manager, I strive to understand my team members as individuals, tailoring my approach to fit their unique needs—there's no one-size-fits-all in my department. While I function with empathy and foster a supportive environment, I also maintain high standards and hold my team accountable to reach those standards. I recognize that everyone's journey to excellence may look different, and I am committed to guiding each member along their path.

Collaboration is key to success, and I know that a company's potential is only as strong as its foundational systems. I've dedicated time to rebuilding departments and addressing systemic issues, ensuring that the structures we operate within are robust and effective. I am committed to setting my team up for success, creating an environment that minimizes obstacles and maximizes creativity.
